The Knights battle back in bottom of the 5th to score 3 unearned runs for a 7-6 lead. Newport DH Bell caps his 4-4 day with his second solo HR in the 6^tth. Game Summary: It proved to be a rough ride to Skyline and back home for the overmatched Roosevelt JV baseball squad who showed a lot of character in their 14-0 5 inning loss to Skyline JV. But on this particular day, the Rough Riders ran into an army of Spartan bats and a Spartan pitcher with flawless precision. This game was close for 1 inning, as the Spartans lead 2-0, but the bats came alive for 5, 3 and 4 runs respectively over the next three innings. Skyline starting pitcher Connor Lawhead meanwhile on this day was literally PERFECT, throwing a no-hitter, with no base runners allowed during the game, and striking out 13 of the 15 batters he faced.

Game Summary: Spartans scores early with 2 runs in the first and the Wolves score 1 in the first and third to tie the game 2-2. A pitchers duel ensues until the bottom of the 5^th, when the Wolves score 3 on 4 hits to take a 5-2 lead. The Spartans battle back with the help of 4 walks and an error to tie the score at 5-5 in the 6^th. The Wolves strike back, and an error, walk, pass ball and single quickly resulted in a 7-5 lead. The Wolves tack on 2 more with 2 outs for the 9-5 win.

Spartans score 2 in the top of the 3rd, the first run on a 2 out RBI single by Jayce Nelson. Starting pitcher Ryan Wiedeman holds the Beavers scoreless until the bottom 5^th, but they score one on back to back hits and then load the bases with no outs. Reliever Weston Blackburn enters the game and pitches out of the jam, aided by a double play on a sacrifice fly attempt to the first batter he faced, when Jayce Nelson throws a strike from left field to nail the runner at the plate. Spartans score again in the top of the 6^th on Zack Liddles 2 out RBI single to take a 3-1 and tacks on 3 more runs in the 7^th on an RBI single by Jack Opitz and triple by Connor Gilchrist. Beavers take a bite out of the lead with 2 runs in the bottom of the 7^th, but Blackburn strikes out the final batter to end the game.

Spartans score again in the second for a 4-0 lead, but the Crusaders plate 2 in the top of the third. The score stays at 4-2, until the Spartans score 1 in the 5^th, on a single by Jayce Nelson and three consecutive walks, for a 5-2 lead. The Crusaders rally for 3 runs in the top of 6^th to tie the game at 5-5. The Crusaders threaten to take the lead with one out in the 7^th, with runners on first and second after 2 walks. Brandon Lundeberg comes in to relieve and gets a comebacker for out 2 and a full count fly ball for the third out. The Spartans 7^th gets going with a Weston Blackburn one out walk and Jake Opitz pinch hit single. Tyler Neudorfer clutches up with 2 outs and a 1-0 count and his single up the middle scores Blackburn from second for the game winning run.

The Spartans rally for 4 in the bottom of the 6^th and holds in the top of the 7^th. Skyline takes the lead in the 7th following a lead off double by Jake Opitz, a Weston Blackburn hit by pitch, and walks to Ryan Wiedeman and Austin Nutt. Blackburn eventually scores on a wild pitch and Wiedeman and Nutt score on sacrifice flies by Jim Carnes and Aaron Caditz as Spartans take a 8-4 lead into the 7th. Issaquah scores 1 and threatens with the bases loaded in the 7th, but the game ends on a shot to the mound.
