The New Westminster Cavalry got a marvelous performance from pitcher Andy Park. The right-hander kept the Boise offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 6-1 New Westminster victory at Memorial Stadium. Park yielded 1 run over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 0, and struck out 2. His record improves to 5-4. New Westminster now sits at 22-28, while Boise falls to 28-22.
New Westminster used a well-timed hit by Kell Annakiya to capture the win. The second baseman socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Cavalry ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
Said losing manager Nick Rodriguez: "The list goes on and on of things we just flat out didn't do."
