Fans who congregated at PK Park were treated to extra-inning drama.

The Abbotsford Canucks topped the Eugene Emeralds, 5-4, in 10 innings. Abbotsford first baseman Garrett Sandner, in particular, was impressive. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. Randy Morris, now 3-1, was credited with the win in 2 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Benjamin Grimaldo? The 22-year old left fielder Grimaldo stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put Abbotsford up, 5-4. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

In postgame comments, Sandner said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.

The Canucks are now 29-21.
