Chiefs 7, Canucks 2
|
Wenatchee turned a good performance from starting pitcher Parker Brown into a 7-2 triumph over the Abbotsford Canucks at Chiefs Stadium. Brown yielded 2 runs over 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-1. The 6th-place Chiefs are 21-27.
Marv Arne had a big bases-clearing triple for the Chiefs in the bottom of the third inning. With Wenatchee leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from Sammy Okai and swatted a triple to center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Chiefs ahead, 6-0.
"We looked pretty good up and down," said Wenatchee manager Oscar Wilson.
