Sawyer Mahaffey, who is tied for 6th in the NWL in wins with 5, was locked in. The right-hander led the New Westminster Cavalry to a 5-4 win against the Boise Hawks at Grays Harbor Ballpark. Dominic Earls picked up the win in relief. Teddy Kinlaw took the loss for Boise. Finn Winston earned his 8th save, after closing out the game.

Pierson Gibson did the little things right to help the team against the Hawks. In the bottom of the first inning, he reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run, putting New Westminster in front, 2-1.

"Sawyer did a heck of a job," said New Westminster manager Lou Kajioka.

With the win, New Westminster has a record of 23-31. Boise falls to 22-32.
