Spartans Tag Rattlers with 4-1 Loss
|
Getting an impressive start from Nicholas Fry, Olympia beat Redmond by the score of 4-1. J.J. Mackin closed the game out for Olympia, earning his 20th save. The Spartans win now puts them at 36-16.
The Spartans got a big at-bat from right fielder Amos Pitts. For the game, Pitts was 1-5 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Olympia a 2-0 lead.
"I'm happy we won," said Fry. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
