The Elizabethton Twins got a strong performance from pitcher Jimmy Jay Ericksen, who stymied the Welch offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Joe O'Brien Field. Elizabethton has a record of 2-1.
Had Mick Little not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Little hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Twins.
