On Road, Rocky Mountain Beats Grand Junction, 6-4
|
The Grand Junction Rockies inaugurated the 2052 campaign with a disappointing 6-4 loss to the Rocky Mountain Vibes at Suplizio Field. Rocky Mountain right fielder Jake Miller had a big impact on the outcome. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times.
It could have been a different outcome for Rocky Mountain, had it not been for David Stamper, the 20-year old catcher . Stamper contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Rocky Mountain up, 2-0.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Stamper told reporters after the game.
