Orioles Earn 4-2 Road Win Over Elizabethton
|
Hampton Orioles starter Javier Vigil pitched well against the Elizabethton Twins at Joe O'Brien Field, leading his team to a win, 4-2. Dorian Thomas was called on to finish, recording his 1st save. The win lifts Hampton to a record of 1-2.
Hampton used the timely hitting of Ross Witt to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Orioles on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Vigil called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
