Rumblers Blanchette Smacks 6 Hits
|
Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Daniel Blanchette of the River City Rumblers had one of those moments when he went 6-for-6 at the plate in his team's 15-1 win over the Burlington Royals at Ballpark of River City.
"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 20-year-old third baseman told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."
