Braves Post 4-2 Win Over Missoula
|
The Missoula Osprey got a sterling performance from pitcher Tyson Carter, but the Danville Braves still prevailed, 4-2. Carter threw 5.0 innings allowing 3 runs. Felix Schroeder notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3.2 innings. His record now sits at 1-0. Getting the save was Billie Couperin, his 1st.
It could have been a different outcome for Danville, had it not been for Jody Stanley, the 22-year old catcher . Stanley contributed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put Danville up, 2-0.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Stanley said after the game.
Danville is now 2-5.
