Schaefer Slugs Braves to 7-1 Win
|
A 5-RBI performance from first baseman Easton Schaefer, who is tied for 8th in the APP in total bases with 44, led the Danville Braves to a win over the Raleigh Cubs, 7-1. Stinson Oliver was the winner. He's now 2-1. The loser was Paxton Wurm. Danville has now reeled off 8 straight wins.
With Danville leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Schaefer hit a changeup from Paxton Wurm for a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Braves ahead, 3-0.
"I like our vibe," said Schaefer. "It's a winning vibe."
