Braves Best Red Sox in Pitching Duel
|
The Danville Braves eked out a 1-0 win versus the Reidsville Red Sox at American Legion Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Reginald Farias. He was terrific. Farias went 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 2-0. The win takes Danville to 4-5.
Colt Boyd chipped in for Danville with a solo home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the designated hitter had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
"This team is capable of getting on a roll," said Danville skipper Greg Jones.
