Burlington pitcher Jeremiah Pressley gave the Mountaineers all they could handle, but in the end, Erwin left Ballpark of Edmonton with a win, 2-1. Pressley allowed no runs on 3 hits over 6.2 innings. Tim Hofmann, now 1-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 1 and walking 0. With the loss, Burlington is 3-7.
The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Erwin trailing 1-0, Sebastian Muro jumped on a 1-1 fastball from Ivan Rodríguez for a 2-run home run, sending the Mountaineers to a walk-off win.
