Losing Skid Reaches 11 Games for Osprey
|
The Missoula Osprey got a superb performance from pitcher Jordan Raila. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Kingsport. The Mets won the game, 4-3. Raila threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Kingsport reliever Rod Corso picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Steve Lay shouldered the loss. Kingsport now has a record of 5-5.
Kingsport used a clutch hit from Carter West to get the win. The designated hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Mets ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a doozy.
"We're our own worst enemy right now," said Missoula skipper Robert Dutton.
