Indians Bridle Braves, 4-3
|
The 4-3 Pueblo win over Danville was due in large part to Javan Blackwell. The Indians center fielder went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Pueblo reliever Jessy Cummings was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Royce Ellis. Getting the save was Tonio Bucio, his 1st.
Pueblo took a 4-1 lead on Blackwell's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Felix Schroeder in the top of the seventh, propelled Pueblo to the win.
Blackwell attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
After losing, Danville is 5-7.
