Cannons Stop Jawns, 4-0
|
The 4-0 Calgary win over Delco was due largely to Michael Peterson. The Cannons first baseman was 1 for 2 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Calgary reliever Trent Rise was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Lucas Obregon. At 8-3, the Cannons have played well so far.
In the top of the fourth, with the game still scoreless, Peterson hit a run-scoring single to put his team in the lead.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Peterson told the Calgary Times.
