Vancouver starter Hunter Wronowski pitched well against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3, in 10 innings. Vancouver pitcher Jess Niemi got the win. He's now 2-0. Atsushi Okano was tagged with the loss. Fabian Crowe was credited with the save for Vancouver, his 2nd of the season.

Vancouver used the hitting of Zachary Matthews to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Cascades on top, 3-1. For the game, Matthews had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"Our guys just had that look of determination," said winning manager Mick Simmons.

Boston, now 7-19, continues its tough start.
