Indians Get Past Delco for 3-2 Win
|
The Delco Jawns got a sterling performance from pitcher Sherman Buchanan, but the Kinston Indians still prevailed, 3-2. Buchanan threw 5.0 innings allowing 1 run. The win went to Anderson Grillo in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Joshua Fleeger took the loss. The loss makes Delco 15-8.
Marquis McDowell was the walk-off hero for Kinston. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Indians third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I like what I saw today," said Kinston manager Leo Campos, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
