Red Sox Losing Streak at 10 After Extra-Inning Loss to Pirates
The Bristol Pirates eked out a 1-0 win versus the Reidsville Red Sox at Devault Memorial Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Jerad Brown. He was terrific. Bristol reliever Forest Polston picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Doug Ray shouldered the loss. Reidsville's current losing streak has reached 10 games.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Bristol second baseman Gareth Miramontes, facing Doug Ray, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Pirates the 1-0 win.

Brown said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
