The Kingsport Mets beat the Helena Brewers, 7-5. Kingsport pitcher and Livingston, California, native Dermot Carpenter led the way. In 5.2 innings, Carpenter surrendered 1 hit, while striking out 5 and walking 3. He allowed no runs. Jordan Kirk, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save.

Kingsport used a well-timed hit by Plessy Segale to capture the win. The second baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Mets ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

Segale told the Kingsport Bulletin: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."

The Mets now have a record of 11-8 with the win over Helena.
