Carrasco, Red Sox Too Much for Mets
The performance of Rolando Carrasco proved critical in helping Reidsville beat Kingsport, 9-3. The Red Sox left fielder was 2 for 3 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 5. Paul Wai, the winner, improved to 1-1. He held Kingsport to 3 runs on 6 hits over 8 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. The defeat makes Kingsport 24-21.

Pablo Tapia had a big bases-clearing triple for the Red Sox in the bottom of the first inning. With Reidsville leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from Ralph Blankinship and swatted a triple to left. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Red Sox ahead, 4-0.
