Helena left fielder Russ Vega had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Vega went 2 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once, even as Blue Ridge beat the Brewers, 9-2. Jimmy Gortsunyan earned the save for Blue Ridge, his 1st. The Bulldogs now have a record of 14-9 with the win over Helena.

One of the key players for the Bulldogs was left fielder Tim Lofberg, who drilled a double in the bottom of the fifth inning. For the game, Lofberg was 1-2 with a double and 2 walks.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Blue Ridge manager Vicente Pulido. "Our pregame was pretty good."
