Royals Get Clonked by Indians, 8-1
|
A 4-RBI performance from the 20-year old first baseman Saloman Gentry helped the Kinston Indians beat the Burlington Royals, 8-1. The Indians improved to a lofty 18-7.
Gentry had a key at-bat for Kinston early in the game. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and gave Kinston an early 4-0 lead.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Indians manager Ivan Ibarra, "I like our chances."
