Bulldogs Capture 7-1 Win at H.P. Hunnicutt Field
|
A 4-RBI performance from Diego Lozano, who is tied for 9th in the APP in doubles with 10, helped the Blue Ridge Bulldogs beat the Delco Jawns, 7-1. Kristian Goldner, the winning pitcher, improved to 4-2. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 7 hits and 1 run, while striking out 9 and walking 0. Blue Ridge is sitting pretty at 32-15.
Blue Ridge took a 5-1 lead on Lozano's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Mal D'Onofrio in the top of the eighth, propelled Blue Ridge to the win.
"I'm the humblest guy I know," Lozano told a local reporter without a hint of irony.
