Isaac Crook pitched a dandy of a game to help the Reidsville Red Sox beat the Kingsport Mets, 2-1. The Red Sox win now puts them at 32-18.

Josbiel Acevedo came through with a big-time hit for Reidsville. The pinch hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"The bar for us is not a particular opponent, it's ourselves," said Reidsville manager Jeff Ward.
