The Elizabethton Twins got a sterling performance from shortstop Ángel Montiel, but the Blue Ridge Bulldogs still prevailed, 6-5. Montiel went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The Bulldogs saw their win-loss record go to 28-26. At the same time, the Twins fell to 33-21.

Blue Ridge got a knockout punch from Noah Frieman. The center fielder hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the 13th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"We had a chance to win," said Elizabethton manager Guillermo Carrillo, "but we didn't get it done."
