Despite a fine performance by left fielder Zach Allaire, the Pulaski Yankees lost to the Blue Ridge Bulldogs, 8-7, in 10 innings. Allaire went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times. Blue Ridge has now won 6 straight.

Blue Ridge got a knockout punch from Antigo Gavan. The second baseman hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"Sometimes you get the ball in the right spot and it goes," said Gavan.
