Erwin got a decent performance from pitcher Steve McNeil, but it wasn't enough to beat the Blue Ridge Bulldogs. Blue Ridge won the Ballpark of Edmonton contest, 4-3. McNeil threw 5.2 innings allowing 4 runs for the losing team. The Bulldogs improved to a lofty 43-18.

Blue Ridge used a clutch at-bat from Roman Howard to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Bulldogs ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Howard told a Blue Ridge Herald reporter he was "pleased as punch" with the win.
