Stampede Edge Americans, 3-2
|
The Butte Americans got a superb performance from pitcher Francisco Rios. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Medicine Hat. The Stampede won the game, 3-2. Rios threw 5.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Medicine Hat is now 23-9.
Medicine Hat used a clutch hit from Miles Lithwick to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Stampede ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"The vibe's good," said Medicine Hat manager Andy Rodgers. "We've got to keep it going."
