Indians 5-1 Winners Versus Delco
|
Kinston starter Eduardo Nuñez put the Delco offense in a vise grip. The left-hander relied heavily on his sinker in leading the Indians to a 5-1 win. Nuñez picked up the win for Kinston, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 7-0. Kinston is now 36-28, Delco 42-22.
Kinston used a clutch at-bat from Gabriel McKillop to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Indians ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
McKillop called the win "a pick-me-upper."
