Yankees Beat Royals, 4-0
|
The Pulaski Yankees picked up a win at Calfee Park, taking down the Burlington Royals, 4-0. Starting pitcher Roger Lacy was a big reason why. The last-place Royals have lost 6 consecutive games.
Vince Lu took Burlington hurler Aitor Salazar deep in the bottom of the third. His 3-run home run put the Yankees on top, 3-0. In all, Lu had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"We gave it the old college try," said Burlington manager Howard Charles. "But the old college try wasn't good enough."
