Late Rally by Twins Locks Up 10-7 Win
|
The Elizabethton Twins and Delco Jawns completed their game despite the inclement weather.
The Elizabethton Twins topped the Delco Jawns, 10-7, with youngster Sebastian O'Connell playing a key role. O'Connell belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Twins in the win. Finn Winston nailed down the save.
Darius Charles delivered a big hit for Elizabethton. The designated hitter drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Twins ahead, 10-7. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
"I believe in our guys," said Elizabethton skipper Toby Staiano. "I like the energy they're playing with."
The Twins have now won 7 straight.
