The Reidsville Red Sox picked up a win at Burlington Athletic Stadium, knocking off the Burlington Royals, 7-3. On the mound for Reidsville was left-hander Wendell Postlethwaite. He played a key role in the triumph. Reidsville reliever Ayden Winley got the win, raising his record to 2-2. Charlie Vanlandingham was tagged with the loss. The Red Sox saw their record improve to 40-28.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Roman Simon? The Reidsville right fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Red Sox on top, 3-2. For the game, Simon had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Wendell showed what he's made of," said Reidsville manager Jeff Ward.
