Danville Beats Delco, 3-0
|
The Braves grabbed a win, 3-0, at H.P. Hunnicutt Field, overcoming a fine effort from Delco pitcher Lucas Obregon. Obregon went 5 innings and allowed 3 runs. The winner in relief was Romario Villegas. He is now 3-0. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. Danville, at 17-19, holds down 4th place in the Appalachian League East Division.
Marz Galiano, the 22-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Galiano contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Danville up, 2-0.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Galiano.
