In a low-scoring contest between the Lethbridge Black Diamonds and the Helena Brewers, 22-year old left-handed pitcher Todd Samson proved to be the difference. The Lethbridge left-hander earned props for his performance in the 2-0 Black Diamonds win. The win takes Lethbridge to 3-10.

Samson subdued the Helena offense. The Lethbridge left-hander allowed a mere 3 hits over 8 innings, while fanning 10. His season record goes to 1-1 with the win.
