On Road, Cannons Top Chukars, 6-4
|
The Calgary Cannons beat the Idaho Falls Chukars by a score of 6-4. Calgary catcher Dasan Harris deserved the lion's share of the credit. Harris went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times for the Cannons. Kenzie Cortez earned the save for Calgary, his 3rd of the year. The Chukars drop to 4-8, as their fitful start to the 2067 campaign continues.
The Cannons benefited from a costly error in the top of the sixth. With R.J. Arellano at bat and Calgary leading 5-4, the Idaho Falls miscue allowed Calgary to plate 1 and take the lead, 6-4.
"They had a good approach," Idaho Falls skipper Ruben Quiñones said of the opposition. "Hats off to them."
