A good performance from designated hitter Trinity Cosby helped the Danville Braves defeat the Burlington Sock Puppets, 5-3. Cosby was 2 for 5 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Braves. Reliever Bronson McGee picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Jake Sabitzer took the loss. With the win, Danville goes to 24-22, while the Sock Puppets fall to 14-32.
Graham Bittmann, the 19-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Bittmann contributed a 2-run single in the top of the 11th inning to put Danville up, 5-3.
"Good win for us, tough loss for them," said Cosby.
