The Chicago White Sox overcame a good performance by New York third baseman Tony Williams to knock off New York, 6-5, at Guaranteed Rate Field. Williams was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Kelly Biggs earned the save for Chicago, his 7th. Chicago, now 18-11, has played well in the early going.
Left Fielder Christian Castillo made an impact for Chicago, when he swatted a 3-run home run off Jock Pike in the bottom of the fourth. For the contest, Castillo went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"We've got a great group of guys," Castillo said, "and we're having fun right now."
