Medicine Hat Gets Another L
Pocatello right-hander Lucas Schott pitched his team to victory over the Medicine Hat Stampede at Ballpark of Pocatello. The final score was 8-3. Schott, the winner, moves to 1-2. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 2 walks. The misery continues for the Stampede, who have now dropped 13 in a row.

Starlin Beltran had a big 3-run home run for the Pioneers in the bottom of the second inning. With Pocatello trailing 2-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he sized up a sinker from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Trevor Leicht and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Pioneers on top, 3-2.

"We bring energy to every game," said losing manager Brantley Johnson. "But it's got to translate into wins."
