Sock Puppets Take It on Chin, Lose 11-2 to Idaho Falls
|
Idaho Falls starter Levon Frank clamped down on the Burlington offense, while his team sailed to victory, 11-2. Frank, now 1-0, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing no runs. With the victory, the Chukars upped their record to 13-10.
In the bottom of the second, 19-year old second baseman Wes Eber hit a 2-run home run. The 5th home run of the season for the Idaho Falls second baseman put the Chukars on top, 2-0.
Eber said afterward that the win gets the team one step closer to its goal.
