Morazan Bashes 5 Base Hits
|
It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Santiago Morazan -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Casper Ballpark and paced the 11-1 Raptors win over the Casper Ghosts.
After his dynamite batting performance, the Ogden left fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control."
His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. Santiago Morazan hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Santiago García in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.
Morazan currently has a .327 batting average with 37 hits, 5 homers, 19 RBIs, 21 runs scored and a .429 OBP.
