Becenti Stars as Raptors Top Ghosts, 6-2
|
Sam Becenti was a major factor in the 6-2 Ogden win over Casper. The Raptors designated hitter went 3-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The winner in relief was Don Drain. He is now 3-1. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. With the victory, the Raptors record stands at 23-14.
Becenti had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 0-2 slider from Jake Mayer, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Raptors a 5-2 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Becenti.
"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Becenti. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
