Soggy conditions did not keep Helena and Pueblo from playing their scheduled game.

The Helena Brewers defeated the Pueblo Indians, 6-3. Doing his part was designated hitter Benny Franco, who went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Sam McAtee snagged the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 4 innings. He's now 1-0 on the season. Austin Noce earned the save, his 4th.

Franco contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Helena in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Franco took a cutter from Yonder Bueno and stroked the home run to left. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Brewers to leap in front, 2-1.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Helena manager Mike Thompson.

Helena has a record of 26-17, placing them 4th in the Pioneer League North Division.
