Idaho Falls Topples Grand Junction, 2-1

The Idaho Falls Chukars and Grand Junction Rockies completed their game despite the rain.
In a tightly-contested game between the Idaho Falls Chukars and the Grand Junction Rockies, pitcher Demont Taylor was outstanding. The Idaho Falls left-hander, who is tied for 8th in the PIO in strikeouts with 49, propelled his team's 2-1 win. Gerardo Brito, now 3-1, was credited with the win in 1.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 1 and walking 0.
Benjamin Trombley chipped in for Idaho Falls, stroking a crucial run-scoring double in the bottom of the seventh inning. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1 for 1 with a double.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Taylor.
The 'W' lifts Idaho Falls's record to 18-27.
