Suplizio Field was the site of quite a ballgame.

Grand Junction beat Burlington at Suplizio Field, escaping with a 7-6 win. The win in large part was due to shortstop Santino Saber. He went 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Grand Junction is 5th in the Pioneer League South Division with a record of 27-22.

The Rockies were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 20-year old first baseman Roberto Álvarez landed a big blow. He turned a full count fastball from Jacob Owen into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Suplizio Field denizens into a frenzy and sent the Rockies home with a thrilling 7-6 win.

"This place was jumping at the end," Álvarez said.
