It seemed that Vancouver left fielder Wes Raines could do no wrong as the Cascades KO'd the Rockies, 16-2. Raines rapped out 5 hits in 6 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Rockies hurlers were throwing.

"I think the Cascades were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Colorado fan after the game.

"I felt good. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Raines in the postgame press interview.

Wes Raines singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.

In the current season, Raines has put up a .298 batting average with 34 hits, 3 home runs, 9 RBI and scored 20 runs.
