The Indianapolis Ignition overcame a good performance by San Diego third baseman Ray Morton to knock off San Diego, 8-7, at PepsiCo Park. Morton went 2 for 2 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Indianapolis pitcher Motoyuki Matsui got the win. He's now 1-1. Hernando Rodríguez was tagged with the loss. The loss makes San Diego 20-18.

The Ignition were down to their final out when catcher Aminu Ode turned a full count fastball from Jayson Bail into a 2-run single. The walk-off single made the PepsiCo Park crowd go wild.

"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Ode said.
