The Las Vegas Knights handed the Miami Marlins a sound defeat, 12-3, at Big Slick's House of Hardball. Domingo Cruz was a main contributor to the win. He hit 3 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring three times for Las Vegas. The last-place Marlins have lost 11 consecutive games.

With Las Vegas leading 9-3 in the bottom of the fifth, Cruz came up to bat against Miami pitcher Dave Keithley. Cruz hit a fastball to left for a 3-run home run. His 7th home run of the season put the Knights on top, 12-3.

"Bad luck's the only luck we've had," said Miami manager Jake Braithwaite.
