Riverside Wins, Janus hits 2 home runs
Recreation Park was the site of the home opener for the Martinez Clippers. The contest featured a prime matchup between Rob Green of the visiting Riverside Red Wave and Evan Lovett of the Clippers. The final score was 8-4, the Red Wave getting the win. Roberto Janus turned in the best performance.

Yadier Alarcon, the Riverside center fielder, contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to make the score 3-1, Red Wave. For the game, Alarcon went 1-3 with a hit by pitch.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Alarcon.
