Stompers Prevail, 4-2, in 12 Innings
|
A good performance from shortstop Jeremy Arevalo helped the Sonoma Stompers defeat the San Bernardino Stampede, 4-2. Arevalo went 1-5 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Stompers. The loss makes the Stampede 5-9.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the 12th, with Sonoma trailing 2-1, Arevalo hit a fastball from Santiago Baez for a 3-run home run, giving the Stompers the walk-off win.
"No one wins," Arevalo said, "without the will to win."
