The Portland Hops picked up a win at The BeerGarden, knocking off the San Francisco Giants, 5-3. Starting pitcher Zach Berg was a big reason why. Berg went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 3-9. The Hops raised their record to 50-91.

The Hops got an important contribution from center fielder Pete Koo, who in the bottom of the fourth punched a first pitch fastball into right-center for a 2-run triple. It was his 3rd triple of the season and put the Hops ahead, 5-2.

"We had a good game plan," Berg said, "and we were able to execute it."
